Around 4:30 pm, a farmer noticed a fire outbreak in a building housing 4,700 tonnes of straw and 250 m³ of silage fodder. The wind fanned the ensuing flames. The electricity distribution company shut down a nearby high-voltage line and oversaw the disconnection of a photovoltaic installation on the roof of an adjacent building so as to prevent a return current; 37 users were without power. Fire-fighters spread out 4 hoses to protect the neighbouring goat shed housing 500 animals, 5 flour silos for their feed and a tyre stockpile with another 2 hoses. They extinguished the fire during the night using 2 additional hoses. The building, straw and fodder were all destroyed. Site damage totalled €230,000.

The village experienced a temporary water supply shortage when the first pump trucks were being filled. A standard fire hydrant was installed next the farm.

The fire occurred subsequent to the self-ignition of hay bales pressed on 25 May.
