In a 100-m long shopping mall comprising 23 shops, fire broke out around 10:30 pm on an electric board located on the ground floor of a shoe store. Flames spread over 500sq.m, reaching a hairdresser’s salon, photography store, 3 apartments on the 1st and 2nd floors as well as the building roof. Fire-fighters evacuated a movie theatre (10 people) and all housing units above the shops. They had to cut through the iron curtains of some stores and shatter a portion of the gallery’s glass window to facilitate smoke removal. The fire was controlled by around 1 am. During this intervention, 1 responder dislocated his shoulder and another sustained an eye injury.
