Around 8 pm, a fire destroyed 500 m² of a 2,500-m² building housing party objects and items. The fire broke out on the fireworks sales floor. Fire-fighters had the blaze controlled using 5 nozzles and were able to avoid spreading to neighbouring premises; 5 employees were made redundant. The accident was brought under control in 90 minutes, but fire-fighters kept their resources at the site and continued to monitor the zone throughout the night.
