During the night, individuals entered a waste collection centre and set four fires: in a container holding waste electrical and electronic equipment, in another containing household hazardous waste and batteries, in the temporary depot for tyres, lightbulbs and dead batteries and in the receptacle for empty used oil cans. The firefighters, having arrived on site at 11 p.m., established a security perimeter and extinguished the fire.

Part of the waste collection centre was closed off to the public. The burned tyres were stored in a 10 m³ storage bin to be sent to an approved treatment facility.

A fire of criminal origin was started in another waste collection centre managed by the same operator the day earlier at St Jean de Braye (ARIA 45281). The operator set up night patrol operations at all the waste collection centres in the urban community.
