A violent fire destroyed a 6,000 m³ warehouse containing on one side foodstuffs and on the other lighting fixtures. The building was located in an urban setting. A large smoke plume was released. The police set up a safety perimeter and evacuated 300 neighbours. First responders cut open an access through metal doors using a circular saw. Despite these difficulties gaining access to the building, the 160 fire-fighters deployed were able to control the blaze in preventing flames from spreading to an automobile garage. A monitoring system was introduced. No indications were provided regarding eventual property damage sustained to the refrigeration installations.
