Around 9 am, fire broke out in one of the buildings belonging to a basic plastics plant in bankruptcy proceedings. A group of workers cutting a hopper were responsible for the fire, which spread to the 20cu.m of rubber powder still present in the hopper; flames reached the plastic ceiling, which in turn melted. Fire-fighters quickly controlled the blaze. At the end of the morning, the monitoring system was deactivated. This incident came on the heels of another fire caused on 21st February by ironworkers cutting up a machine, as a 2cu.m oil tank had ignited, partially destroying the building. The Classified Facilities Inspectorate reminded the judicial agent of all safety-related obligations.
