Shortly after 1 am, a fire broke out in the unloading chamber at a printing factory where 4 t of paper was stored. As the joists were twisted by the heat and the sheet metal panels looked likely to collapse, the chamber had to be completely demolished. The fire also damaged the company’s finishing equipment. The incident was suspected to be of criminal origin because 10 minutes later, a second fire broke out in a bin filled with wood waste in a framework renovation company 300 m away. As they spread, the flames damaged the bow of a 27 m long dry-docked boat with a moulded timber structure. Around sixty fire-fighters were mobilised for several hours. The public prosecutor’s office carried out a forensic examination.
