In a metal works factory, fire broke out at night on an electrical cabinet at the outlet of an askarel transformer. Thick smoke filled the workshop, and fire-fighters had to wait for the electricity distribution company to intervene before entering the premises and extinguishing the blaze with some 20 litres of foam. A condenser battery was the source of this accident. All low-voltage electrical cabinets were damaged, but the transformer remained intact. To avoid making 150 employees redundant, the factory operator provided electric generating sets, a new transformer and a temporary cabinet, while examining the best option for installing the new transformer and definitive distribution cabinet.
