A man delivering a 45-kg propane tank was killed in an explosion. Two employees where also injured, one seriously. In addition to dealing with the explosion and subsequent fire, firefighters sprayed three other tanks that were leaking propane. A resident who lives near the plant says the blast sent flames 20 to 40 feet into the air. The blast ignited a small fire on the roof of the plant.

The explosions occurred when a tank of liquid oxygen fell from a dolly as the delivery person moved it from his truck to a storage area. A spark started a fire that was fed by the oxygen from the tank, causing a series of four explosions.
