In a shopping mall, a fire destroyed a dry cleaners and propagated via the suspended ceilings to 2,000 m² of the adjoining supermarket. No victim was reported, but the blaze forced the redundancy of 45 employees. Sales area and warehouse merchandise were damaged as were the electrical cable installation, the building structure (metal and wood) and a fire door (cracked). The fire started on a dry cleaning machine, and the ensuing explosion caused it to spread throughout the shop. Malicious intent was the suspected cause.
