During the night at a dry cleaners, a white smoke emitted suggested the presence of fire. Neighbours alerted local fire-fighters, who responded to the call and noted that the problem stemmed from a degreasing machine run using tetrachloroethylene. Wearing self-breathing apparatuses, they proceeded by draining the machine. Four fire-fighters had to be brought to hospital for observation after inhaling tetrachloroethylene fumes during cleanup operations.
