An explosion at a quarry, while preparing rock blasts, injured 3 of the 4 employees involved in the operation. One of them was thrown by the blast and sustained more serious injuries to the arms and head, but all three required hospitalisation. The quarry operator had commissioned a specialised company to set up the blasts as part of a protocol upon acceptance. The explosion occurred while loading the explosives.
