Analysis report and ARIA news flash – Malicious acts: Raising awareness to improve prevention

Beyond criminal acts targeting “Seveso” installations and having a strong media impact, the fight against “ordinary malicious acts” is a stake for all operators! Indeed, 4% of accidents occurring in Classified Facilities are related to malicious acts. This accident cause, often overlooked in risk analyses and safety reports, therefore deserves to be dealt with.

The BARPI proposes :

• A synthesis report, based on an analysis of 850 accidents involving malicious acts. It presents the most targeted installations and their vulnerabilities, the motives and methods used by ill-intentioned individuals, as well as points of heightened vigilance and areas for improvement to protect against malicious attacks.

• A flash presenting these elements in a more synthetic way.
