The French Ministry of Sustainable Development organizes every two years, within the framework of the IMPEL network, a European seminar on “Lessons Learnt from Industrial Accidents”.
The 2013 edition held in Strasbourg on May 29th and 30th allowed more than 250 participants from two dozen European countries to analyse in depth 15 technological accidents. These exchanges aim to disseminate the lessons learnt from the analysis of serious or significant accidents in order to collectively move forward faster. Among the topics covered were: sensor malfunctions, risk analysis and plant maintenance and NaTech risks.
