Significant fires are fires that cause damage beyond the unit or equipment causing the accident. This sheet presents the human, social, environmental and economic consequences of these events. Apart from the causes (malicious act, electrical failure, material failure, work by hot spots …), it is the accumulation of aggravating factors that generates the significant character of a fire. The main aggravating factors are also clarified.
