Through the analysis of several singular events, the following fact sheet illustrates the dangers associated with some industrial activities, as for example transportation of flammable materials by pipelines. Moreover, some dangerous phenomena can be caused by domino effects on the surrounding installations. A selection of accidents illustrates this last point.
