Lightning struck a tank containing 65,000 m³ of gas oil causing a fire accompanied by dense fumes. The port authorities and the refinery staff were warned. The residents were evacuated. The fire was brought under control on 10 March at 6.00 pm. Material damage was estimated at 35 MF.
