While draining the contents of a boiler into a tank, 500 to 1,000 l of heating oil spilled over into the OISE canal. The river was polluted over several hundred metres long and 50 m wide. Fish mortality was not observed but the plants suffered severe impacts. The administrative authorities took note of the facts and suggested appropriate measures.
