A 19h30, à la suite de l’arrêt d’un compresseur sur l’unité Polyéthylène-UCA, l’exploitant d’une usine chimique procède à l’envoi d’hydrocarbures à la torche jusqu’à 23h. Le brûlage se traduit par un bruit sourd et continu. L’exploitant efface ensuite les fumées par injection de vapeur à la torche.
