When pouring a pot of water-soluble paint into a stormwater manhole, an employee of a wood work plant caused the discolouration of a stream. The accident had no significant environmental impact. The administration noted that the activity was not authorised according to the legislation of classified facilities for environmental protection and recommended the Prefect to send a formal notification to the operator with instructions to rectify its situation and secure its hydrocarbon and paint storage areas.
