A fire broke out at 2.45 pm on a press in a timber trading and manufacturing plant. Flames spread to the building framework and roof. After arriving on site 1 minute later, the shift manager activated the press sprinkler system and alerted the public emergency services. Upon their arrival at 2:33 pm, the 26 fire-fighters mobilised noted that the fire had been contained and there were only a few residual fires on the roof. The operator opened the press so that the emergency services could check that there were no hot spots using a thermal imaging camera. During the fire, 400 m² of roof and a conveyor belt for shelves were destroyed and electric cables, motors and an acceleration belt were damaged. An approved centre treated the waste.

According to the inspection authorities, the fire broke out on a fan in the building’s roof.
