One Sunday evening, a fire destroyed a 1,200 m² building storing 15,000 m³ of cardboard at a cardboard mill. Fire-fighters protected a gas tank. The electricity was cut off to the entire site. After putting out the fire, the fire-fighters remained on site for 24 hours to prevent any new outbreaks of fire. The building was razed to the ground as its metal structure had been damaged. A declaration file has been submitted for the erection of a storage tent on the same site. The fire was caused by five children. They broke into the site by cutting the fencing, climbing up a pile of pallets located outside the building and then breaking a window panel. The damage was estimated at €2 million.
