One man was killed and another was critically injured by an explosion at 2:30 pm. in a scrap metal factory during outdoor aluminium smelting operations. Two men were melting aluminium scrap at a scrap yard using a small home-made furnace when it exploded, maybe due to products contained in the scrap being melt. The injured man was taken from the scene in a medi-vac helicopter.
